Flights to London Buy
Dr Samuel Johnson once famously said "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life". By the same token London offers everything life can offer, at least everything apart from beaches and nice weather.
Once you're done with things like seeing the Big Ben and shopping yourself unconscious, have a taste of the London that Londoners see. Have a picnic on Hampstead Heath instead of Hyde Park. Get away from Soho and head for a nice meal in Notting Hill. Ditch the West End clubs and rub shoulders with the hipsters of Shoreditch (just don't mess up their hair). Don't even try to see everything in one go — unlike with life, you can always come back to London.
We fly to Gatwick which is a 30 minute train ride to and from the centre. Take the Gatwick Express if you're heading to the very centre or West, but for travelling to East or North London a regular train might be better, just look for trains heading to Bedford. Bus connections are somewhat slow, and a taxi ride to town costs up to 80 pounds.
